The Ancona is a wonderful dual-purpose breed that is on the "watch" list of the Livestock Conservancy. I use Dave Holderread's standard when choosing my breeding birds. From my knowledge of the breed this blue is a decent quality drake. I can tell he is going to be good sized and his conformation seems good so far. He will get bigger and fill out as he matures. He is very likely split to chocolate which means you'll get more colors of ducklings from him. I have a chocolate drake the same age also available if you desire that color. He is similar quality to the blue drake (just smaller size) and is in the pictures posted.
