VanBuskirk Acres proudly offers Pilgrim Geese, a breed developed in Iowa in the early 1900s. Known for their calm and quiet nature, they are excellent foragers. As one of the few American breeds of geese, Pilgrim Geese have a unique feature - you can distinguish males from females at any age. Day-old male goslings are yellow and light gray with lighter bills while female goslings are deeper gray/green with darker bills. Adults males are white with touches of gray on their rump and wings, while adult females resemble Toulouse geese but often have white markings on their head and faces.
