• My Experience or My Story: I started out with 10 Australorps a few years back they were all mailed to me. However, one I happened to name Lucky, turned out to be a super aggressive roo. We were fine until we bought 2 more Cochin hens and Lucky was happy to mate. From the chicks, 7 turned out to be roos. Now our roo to hen ratio is way to high. The roos are feeling cooped up and tend to jump on a hen, 3 at a time. I'm very attached to them as see them all as pets so I don't have the heart to cull. Looking for good homes.
• Rooster temperament during breeding season: Non-aggressive but slightly impatient. Would probably work better if there were more hens or less roosters.
