Biography
Christine Lampe is a Master Gardener in Riverside County, specializing in organic fruit and vegetable gardening, herbs, and edible landscaping. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, with graduate studies in Freshwater Fisheries, as well as a secondary teaching credential in Biology
She and her husband Michael have recently moved from a small city lot in Riverside to a 4.5 acre property in Homeland, near Hemet. They are over-the-top excited to be setting up a new homestead with lots more room. They are building raised vegetable beds, and planting fruit orchards.. Their goal is to organically grow almost all of their own produce.
Their new homestead, Rancho de los Piratas, is already full of diversity, whimsy, and wildlife (plus goats, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, and two giant white dogs and an Aussie). They are breeding Ameraucana chickens, rare French heritage crevecouer chickens, and jumbo French guineas.
Christine has taken a Permaculture Design Course (twice), and is qualified to teach PDC. She is also active with the Calif. Rare Fruit Growers, and Non Toxic Inland Empire.
