Pita Pinta Asturiana

The Pita Pinta is my farm favorite. They are friendly, curious and gentle. These are large, hardy birds that lay an abundance of cream-colored eggs. My breeding stock comes directly from Greenfire Farms. The beautiful Pita Pinta is the only chicken breed native to the Asturian region of Northern Spain. Their origins have been traced back to the same chickens that were the foundational stock Basque Hens. These birds are extremely rare. Recent studies have shown that approximately 2,000 of them exist today.

Fresian Gull (Lemon or Silver)

We are excited to offer the Fresian Gull in both Lemon and Silver. The Fresian Gull are excellent free range birds known for their egg laying ability. You can expect 180-200 white eggs each year and hens usually will not go broody. Frisian Gulls are exceedingly rare in their native range. A recent census put their total number at about one thousand and they are rarely seen outside the Frisian coastal area. Our breeding stock comes directly from Greenfire Farms.

Langshan Chicks- Champion Show Lines

I am so excited to offer blue and black Croad Langshans. These birds have been raised to the UK Standard by an amazing breeder out of Rhode Island and a Northern California breeder with award-winning lines. My hens produce large light brown eggs that occasionally have a beautiful pink/plum bloom over them. Please note that some of our eggs hold that unique color but the bloom often fades over the course of a couple days and not all eggs will have a bloom over them. Langshans are a very rare and hardy bird with amazing temperment. The hens lay 140-150 eggs per year.

Dampierre Chicks

Dampierre is an extremely rare french breed. The amount of breeders in the U.S is less than 10. Our stock comes directly from Greenfire farms. We are focused on improving this breed with focus on the presence and shape of the feather crest, comb size and shape, and the general type. These birds have been very pleasurable to work with. They are friendly, quiet and extremely good layers of large white eggs. They seem to lay earlier than some of the other breeds we offer and are consistent through cold temperatures. https://www.barifarms.com/product-page/dampierre-chick-straight-run

Ameraucana Chicks

I breed true Ameraucanas in Black Blue Splasn and Lavender. Ameraucanas are often mistaken for Easter-eggers or "Americanas", which can be wonderful birds, but are not a pure breed. Ameraucanas are recognized for their beards, muffs, and pea-combs, making them a superb cold-hearty breed. Ameraucanas are easy-going, curious, friendly birds that average 170-200 beautiful eggs laid annually. https://www.barifarms.com/product-page/ameraucana-chicks-straight-run
