Welcome to 605 Silkies, a small farm in Southeast South Dakota specializing in quality bearded silkies. Our birds are raised in separate pens to ensure true colors, such as Paint, Chocolate and Mauve, Blue/Black/Splash (BBS), Buff, and Mottled. We provide a premium diet from Kalmbach Feeds, supplemented with poultry cell, selenium, and a variety of treats like black soldier fly larvae, fruits, and veggies. Our silkies receive daily handling and lots of attention, making them friendly and affectionate. While we do not have frizzle or satin feather types, there is a chance of show girl in the BBS pen. Please note that sexing silkie chicks is not possible at hatch, but DNA sexing is available for an additional fee.
